Hi - my 5 year old daughter faints when she is injured/perceives she is going to be injured, and when she has injections, etc. Does anyone know if this is common? I mentionned it to the doctor who thought it was funny (we no longer see that doc!). Her teachers/family think its funny/cute but I'm worried that its going to develop into something more serious, or that she might injure herself when she faints. Any advice?
Thanks very much
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I suggest you see a ped. Doctor but......I have heard of children passing out for
various reasons. Kids hold there breath and pass out when having temper tantrims.
I would suggest a few tests to ease your mind or at least a few doctors opinions and
then if they both feel it is not serious you may feel better.
