advise please

i have med phobia,im on seroxat i also have acidd reflux and the doctor has put me on lansaprazole, im so scared to take it im scared its going to react with the seroxat!! anyone on seroxat and lansoprazole?

The concerns we have when prescribing medications is whether the drugs can have either an agonist or antagonist effect on each other. An agonist effect would be where one drug increases the efficacy or effect of the other drug well beyond that associated with the prescribed dosage. An antagonist effect is one where one medication reduces the efficacy or effect of the other drug by comparison to that associated with the prescribed dosage.

Seroxat is an SSRI and Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. These two drugs taken in combination have no such interaction and are safe to take as prescribed.
