I've been on Setraline for 3 weeks after being on Cipralex for 3 years for anxiety, swapped over as Cipralex didn't seem to be working for me any more - first week was rotten and last week felt so much better but this week feel like I've gone back to square one!

Is it too early to be saying these meds are not working for me? How long do they take to kick in?

I know people react differently to all meds but I wondered if anyone was experiencing the same probs or had any advice.

Look forward to hearing your coments.

Jo

I would say it's a bit too early to tell. Give it 4-6 weeks and if you don't notice any improvement it's prob not the right med for you.
Good luck, I hope it works. I know how frustrating the waiting can be!

Thanks for your reply.
I know you're right, its too early to call yet.
Have appt with doc this afternoon, expect him to say much the same but just need a bit of reassurance. Had a good 4 days last week (felt amost normal!) and thought I was over the worst, only to dip again - has really knocked my confidence. On the plus side, the panic attacks have not come back, just the over-whelming anxiety - so, hopefully, they are gradually kicking-in.
