Hi guys. Hope everyone is well.
I've been doing great for the past 12 months or so on 20mg of Citalopram. However, a few major stresses here and there have sent me a bit wonky with my anxiety again over the last month.
Recognising the signs of it all so much better this time around, I decided to try and nip it in the bud early rather than let it spiral out of control like last time. Hence I went to my GP today, and he has increased my Citalopram from 20mg to 40mg. I have a few days off work next week, so will wait for then before increasing, but I have a few quick questions for people who have increased their Citalopram dose:
- How bad were the side effects from the increase? When I started Citalopram, I was really wonky for a good 2-3 weeks. Will it be as bad this time around?
- How long will any side effects of the above last?
- How did 40mg compare, in terms of aiding you to cope with anxiety, to the 20mg dose?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!
All the best,
Al
