a question about eyes,stripey jumpers and blinds.

just wondered if anyone else looks at certain things with lines on,usually thin and close together jumpers blinds paving etc..and it makes your eyes go funny like the pattern is jumping around? ive had this years my eyes are fine,could this be anxiety related cos it can happen even when im not anxious.

Its more than likely your brain having issues processing the information its being given. Or as its commonly known an optical illusion.

I get this too puppyskin. I wear glasses though, and when I don't wear them for reading, writing, on the computer etc. I get these, but it is very common. Do you wear glasses for anything? If not, you could book yourself up for an eyetest? x

hi,yes i wear glasses have done all my life,only noticed it since developing anxiety,feels very trippy.

Trippy is the word exactly lol! Most people get this and news presenters on the telly are usually asked not to wear anything with stripes or zig-zag patterns on for the same reason...it would hurt your eyes to watch them!

The reason it might have got worse since suffering anxiety is that it affects all your muscles making them very tense, so would also affect the muscles of your eyes too.

On the odd occassion when Im have woken in the middle of the night and still half a sleep I see lines on the wall, as any of youhad anything like this? x
