GABA with SSRI's???

Hi everyone,

Not having much luck thus far with SSRI's, I have been reading a good bit about the natural alternative. GABA being one of them that supposingly also slows down nuerotransmittion of negative thoughts and enduces calmness, reduces anxiety etc etc. Has anyone tried this stuff and have had any good results or bad. \also wondering if you can take these in combination with SSRI's as I wean off.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I don't see why you couldn't give it a go, Ron. GABAergic drugs like benzos and pregabalin are used for this purpose so perhaps the natural alternative may help. I haven't ever tried it unfortunately because I take GABAergic meds but let me know if it works ...
