Hi all,
Mum has been diagnosed with Parkinsons.
I have ended up back home with them and for a while we thought she was deteriorating but were unsure if it was age.
She is 70 and for a while was not using her right arm much and I think in a way we were are glad of a diagnosis.
A specialist nurse is coming to visit next week with leaflets and she has started on some medication so the care seems far better than the sort we often hear about here.
I am aware there is a UK website but i havent got into any detail yet it is going to take a while to absorb.
Just wanted to let some of it out. Hugs really or is anyone on the same path.
Im so emotionally numb I havent been able to cry for 20 years.
I think I have forgotten how although I can well up in a film (weird).
She seems to be dealing with it o.k. so far.
Thanks.
Simon.
