MY DAUGHTER MY SPECIAL FRIEND.

A daughter like you is so special
For right from the very first day
You have filled life with such precious moments
that stay with me and wont go away.

Its so nice as the years have passed by
that the sweet little girl I once knew
has grown to be such a companion
such a loyal and good friend too.

I remember the first time I held you
and the pride that I felt deep inside.
The first morning we waved at the school gate
and the tears I just couldnt hide.

Though your childhood passed by in an instant
as the years simply melted away.
All the joy and the love that youve given
fill my heart and my life to this day.

For youve been such a wonderful daughter
so thoughtful unselfish and kind
and I wish that whatever you strive for
as you travel through life you will find.

For what more could a parent ask
of a daughter as precious as you
Only that you will be happy
and find joy in whatever you do.

That's so lovely Lynne...thanks for sharing it.

This is my contribution, one I found in a book and sent to both my daughters, hope its ok to share it here too....

My wonderful daughters, I was blessed with two of you
You'll never know how proud I am of all the things you do
Ive watched you both through the years laugh and cry and grow
And it was very difficult when the day came to let you go
The road that we have travelled, hasn't always been too good
And i'd take back all the pain you've felt, only if I could
I know that i'm not perfect but its the best that I can do
But every day I give my thanks for daughters as special as you
So I want you to always remember, no matter where you may be
There is someone who loves you and needs you
And that someone will always be me..:hugs:

To you both
The verses are both lovely
I think the same about my daughter as well
She not only my daughter but my best friend.
