This was taught to me a few nights back by a friend who is a Yoga instructor. It seems to be helping me with my neck and jaw tension. It's a silly looking pose, but if it works, what the Hell?

It's known as "The Lion Pose."

You can learn about it in great detail here: http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/1705_1.cfm

Hope this helps you with your head, face, neck & chest tension?

I almost pissed my pants laughing at my girlfriends buddy when she did the pose! You gotta let your tongue come all the way out and roll your eyes back in your head. Make the hiss or "hah" sound of a lion with your throat and hold it for a few seconds. Best of luck!

Yes its a good one along with very slow neck turns which really help too.

Thanks for posting them.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.

If I am sat at the computer for too long and start to feel tension in the neck and shoulders I let my head fall slowly forward aiming to get my chin towards my chest and I put my two fingers on my chin and gently press down, swapping to the other hand after a minute.

Then like Meg says do a few slow neck turns.

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.
