I always think I am going to stop breathing.

I don't know if its possible for your body to just shut down, but it scares me so much that I am too scared to sleep.

I don't want to see my GP and I am scared they will put me back on anti-depressants.

Who do I turn to?

:bighug1:Breathing is automatic. This sounds more like an intrusive thought, very common with anxiety. Try not to engage with it, but let it float out of your mind when it surfaces.

Your body will carry on breathing , even if it is in conflict with your mind. It is an intrusive thought , that is all . Anxiety alone is not enough for you just to stop breathing, :) Paige xx

Hi, I too feel like this, just try and distract yourself, with me it seems alot worse after ive been doing things and start breathing faster, become to focused then on my breathing and this sometimes brings on a panic attack, really trying at the moment just to not focus on my breathing and within a few mins i feel ok and the breathing as gone back to normal, it is not nice but is an anxiety symptom. :)
