What is this?
I was wondering if anyone else has been to this and im curious as to why they've referred me to them.

I told my Doctor that if their is nothing wrong with my blood tests I don't think I need the councilling, but he has referred me :S

So does this mean theirs something wrong:weep:

Hi

I think it's to do with Mental Health? Your GP might have sent you there for that reason? You go to them usually if you don't want to see your GP and they will assess and advise you? I don't think he has sent you because there is something wrong with your bloods sweet - he would have to tell you if there were a problem. Maybe he thinks your best to see these guys who specialise in the mental health area? Have you ever had CBT before? It might be a avenue to go down? I would let him refer you, wait for the appointment and go along. You have nothing to lose by seeing what they can offer you? Keep us updated, peace to you.......

and daryl you have to remember whether there is something wrong with blood test or not which there isn't people get councilling so they respond to situations in a more healthy way not because there is a problem or not because we like everyone will always get problems in life.

Daryl,

Had there been a problem with your bloods you would have received a call from your Dr. They say results take 5 - 7 days, they dont. Your GP can access them as soon as the results are put on the system by the hospital. I have mine within a day or 2. I had a problem with one of my bloods and I was notified the next day by phone.

I just been referred to Single Point of Access. All my bloods and everything came back ok. Had my first assessment today. They help you deal with the panic and anxiety. Nothing to worry about. I think it is normal for every GP now to refer people. I'm really looking forward to starting all of this. It is someone away from my family, without them I would not have gotten this far, who you can relate to and uncover all your own fears about what is happening. I wouldn't worry too much. If you GP thought there was a problem he wouldn't leave it. He just trying to help you.

hi daryl
since you keep finding lymph nodes try thinking about it like this
so what if i find a lymph node it just means you have lymph nodes it does not mean anything is wrong!

Daryl, you have seen the haematologist and he has assured you that you don't have lymphoma, also if there had been anything worrying from your blood test you would have been called back by now.

You don't have lymphoma my friend but you are going through the mill with these worries which is probably why it would be a good idea to accept the referral to the access team.

Well all my other blood tests came back fine with no abnormalities but he had me go for this other test to check if their was something going on just to be conclusive.
I go back in 2 days to find out the results of the test and im absolutely frightened to death.

Im just wondering if they would of rang my house phone or something had they of noticed an abnormality.
