Hi folks,

I tried to do a search for the above drugs on the forum but kept timing out so decided to do this post. Have been on Citalopram since April last year with some effect for my panic attacks but my depression is a greater problem now. Have been prescribed Zispin and stupidly read about it and read the experiences of some users. I read lots of mixed opinions and would therefore be keen to find out anything I can about how you have found the drugs. I am worried that my panic attacks may become a huge problem if my depression becomes less. It does seem to be a viscious cycle of either anxiety +++ or depression +++ and on the worst days both +++.

Thanks for reading

Hi freaked out.

I was prescribed citalopram in december 2004 but fund they did nothihng for me at all.

I was then put on mirtazipine (zispin) starting with 2 at night, which was increased to 3 a night, which im still on at the moment.

They helped immensly when I wasnt sleeping etc, that effect was immediate. With the sepresison, it was a slow improvement, and a year on I feel ilke a different person depression wise. These have really helped me.

I didnt really have any side effects that i can think of.

Have you been told to take them at night? I find that within half an hour of taking them I feel zonked and am ready for bed!

Hope this helps a bit, feel free to pm me etc if ya want another chat bout them.
