Worried About Test Results

Hi everyone,

I had a nasty stomach bug last week, with blood in my stool (sorry for too much information), naturally I freaked out. My GP did some blood tests which have all come back normal and I also did a urine and stool sample.

I am worried that the stool sample hasn't come back yet. I did it on Monday and they said it normally takes 24-48 hours. Does it mean they have found something and that they are rechecking or could it be that they are just behind?

The bloods came back really quickly, is that a different department?

Really worried now.

I left a stool sample with the docs 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back so I am assuming it is all ok.

These things take time sometimes I think

Probably because no-one knows the answer to your question to be honest.

I don't either but thought I would reply anyway as I could see it was concerning you.

hey... if you dont hear back, normally means everything is ok, i always call tho, and they say ah yes the results are here and everything is ok... im actually really worried, i have been having bad pains in my tummy and i have been sick every day for 3 days and im scared to death, really scared it is something serious, been told i ahve ibs but ive never had it like this before, xxxxxx
