Fear of needles

Hi,
I have just started training to become a mental health nurse, but i have a fear of needles. I have almost finished my first placement and have managed to avoid giving an injection. It isn't a fear of giving someone else one, but of pricking me self with it when loading it or disposing it.
i am really stressing about it and i get a sick feeling just thinking about it.
Is anyone going through anything similar or got any ideas for me?

Welcome aboard.

I think that it is highly unlikely you would prick yourself as you will be trained on how to handle the needles safely.

You could try hypnotherapy for this phobia to see if that helps.
