Huntington's Disease

I've never met my Dad's family - he was adopted at birth and he doesn't know his dad. I'm now in a real panic as what if there are genetic diseases i.e. huntington's, that I might get? I'm really worried, are there genetic tests I can ask fr?

You can certainly get a DNA test to see if you carry the faulty gene for Huntington's - they are done by several Regional Genetics Clinics. The Huntington's Disease website [hda.org.uk] have a fact sheet giving their addresses. But I'm not sure about other genetic problems - possibly the Regional Genetics Clinics might be able to help.
