I was out in my car yesterday and had a full-blown panic attack because there was steam coming out of the bonnet. My mum bought me the car second hand but I have had nothing but problems with it. It's making me so anxious and I'm starting to lose confidence in my driving ability. My partner doesn't drive as he never passed his test (he's 46!!) so the only way we can get out and about is if I drive. I've made sure my RAC breakdown membership is up to date and the car is going back into the garage Tuesday for the idiots that sold it to us have yet another look at it. I'm going mad about it all and my anxiety has shot through the roof - alot of it is anger that they charged us £1,500 for a dodgy motor. My dad doesn't know anything about cars either. God, I really don't want to be one of those people who is scared to drive but it's starting to happen. Anyone else have driving fears????? And how do you cope??????Anyone ever stopped driving due to anxiety????:shrug:
