I can't move without pain....ladies.....help!!

Hi I hope someone can help me? I have awful rib pain all the time, my lower right ribs feel bruised all the time and any slight movement and ouch! Also I keep getting horrible sharp stabbing pain in my left side of ribs, near my arm!

It gets worse every month the week before my period and it is getting me down!

I am worried and I have seen the doctor about it and she said it was just muscular or something and hormones make it worse.

I feel like I have just got to live with it and it is making me sooooo miserable.

Does anyone else get this?

I don't think rib pain is exclusive to ladies only so it might help to open up your thread to men too, you may get more response. Also, to touch on what your doctor has said, in the run up to a period there is alot of tension which can affect muscles, and water retention where tissues absorb water and can affect our lungs more than usual...this accounts for some women feeling they cannot get enough breath during this time, so this could explain the added discomfort at this time. Hope this helps.
