hi

i have been told by my doctor that i have ibs, for the last few months occasionally i get blood in my stools. i had a colonoscopy because of this in january and it came back clear, the specialist said it was probably internal haemarrhoids that were clearing themselves up naturally. Lately i have been getting very constipated, but haven't had any noticeable amounts of blood for a little while. Anyway, the last couple of weeks when i go to the toilet (after several days) there is like this brown mucus stuff, is this normal or do i need to get it checked out??

hi bronte thanks for your reply :)

I am slowly trying to rationalize this, but you know what it can be like, as soon as you start to worry it is a downward spiral into total anxious oblivion...... i think it was just the shock of it, after trying to get used to the random blood it just felt like its one thing after another
