odd smells and taste for no reason.

i get like a chemical taste and smell,get the smells more like tipex or marker pen,like i can smell it from my breathing...???

The only things that come to mind are:
Do you have sinus problems or a nasal drip? (Cattargh)
Have you had a cold recently?
Do you have oral thrush?

I have a lot of problems with my sinus and when theres an overgrowth of bacteria I get a broad bean type smell. At first I thought it was the smell of a stray cats wee, I was sniffing everything. THen I realised the smell was actually in my nose ><
