Is anyone else taking citalopram for obssesive thinking and to try and help with it.
I have been taking it for two weeks now and feel it has helped a little. My GP today has increased the dose from 10mg a day to 20mg to try and help a little more.
My obssesive thinking is around the fear I have contracted HIV, even though I have only slept with my husband in the last 15 years, dont take or have never taken drugs of any kind, and had a test for HIV at the beginning of pregnancy as routine screening and it was negative. I have not done anything out of the ordinary, but in recent weeks have had the fear I have contracted it from a toilet, which is silly, I know. My GP has reassured me that my worries have no foundation and has tried to put it in perspective for me.
I was wondering if anyone else had found citalopram had helped in breaking their obssesive thoughts?
