Mirtazapine and irregular/late periods??

Hi

Does anyone suffer with period problems whilst on this medication? I have been taking 30mg for a couple of months, previously on a lower dose and my periods seem to be getting further and further apart! Anyone else had this happen?

I'm not on this medication but anxiety itself can cause irregular periods, I'm not sure if this is a major cause for you but it's very common. Mine have been extremley irregular due to anxiety. Do you think anxiety could be a contributing factor or are you sure it's the medication?

Thanks for your reply. Anxiety could be the reason for this I guess. Although it has been ok until recently and I have been anxious for a while. But i think things can build up and the stress could well disrupt things!!

I never seem to be able to rationalise things as being caused by the actual anxiety and it always being some major illness!!

I was taking mirtazipine for about 5-6 months and almost had no periods during this time. It was 5 years ago.
