Hello Everyone
Im 24 Years Old and started had a panic attacks in my late teens. I would say that I am a very anxious person and as a have got old the anxiety gradually gor worse. About three years ago I started having real big anxiety. I

t never stopped me doing anything but I spent most of the time thinking that I had some underlying problem and this cycle of thoughts are still going around it my head. I was put on cipralex for about 6 months which I found did not really work. I have managed to control my anxiety to a degree which meant I stopped the medication. I still can not rid myself of all the symtoms associated with anxiety. Anybody know how to get positive thoughts back into my head?

The other thing I can't understand is that I seem perfectly relaxed watching tv and then I would get this rush of blood to my head, I lose all concentration for a few seconds and go all dizzy? They occur most days ever since I come off the medication! Are they head zaps or palpitations?. I also find Palpitations scare me as sometimes they come on when Im relaxed! Will These go?

Enough of me, can you help!

A very big welcome to you - fear of palpitations is actually what I was looking for and I found this site instead.

We have a good page written by Meg all about them - do have a read as it may help to reassure you.

Welcome along Matty,

CBT is a possible method of overcoming your panics and symptoms. Have you discussed this with your doc?
