Help Please... Best therapy for treating depression

Evening all,

I'm trying to gauge peoples opinions on the best type of therapy to treat depression. My girlfriend is suffering with fairly severe depression at the moment, and has recently been put on Citalopram to try and help. Please see my thread here for more information:

I'd really like to get her on some form of therapy to deal with the causes, and not only the symptoms as the pills do.

I've been looking for local psychotherapists, but have recently been introduced to the idea of Hypnoanalysis.

Any opinions on these, or any other form of therepies that have worked for people would be gratefully received.

for evidence-base etc., could be worth reading the NICE guidelines on depression, with so many different therapies to choose from it may be worth sticking to their suggestions.
