Contraception & Citalopram

I'm sure there has been a thread before on this subject but I couldn't find it in a search. So....

Ladies, can you take the contraceptive pill and still take citalopram? Will one interfere with the other?

I would imagine it it fine as I have an implant and am on Cit, but always ask your GP for the best advice

I too have an implant and did lots of reading and discovered there are no known implications. However you should never take st johns wort and contraceptives as they do impact each other. But as dragonsblone says definitely check with your GP.
