View Full Version : Hi There, Im New
Hi,
My names David, im 18, from Manchester UK and im currently in college. I suffer from panic attacks and find it very hard to grasp reality sometimes.
I joined this website to try and understand other peoples problems and get it through to myself that i'm not insane, that coincidences happen and that its just my mind playing tricks on me.
How is everyone then!
Hi David
Firstly welcome to the site and secondly you are not alone in how you feel.
I like you lost the reason of reality as the panic took over and i couldnt think of anything but that. It does get easier and on this site you will see that you are not alone and so many people here understand you and will help you all they can.
Look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi David
Welcome to the forum.
It is a common to worry about going mad or being insane but this is not going to happen and is just an obsessive worry.
Have a look at the information in the First Steps (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/default.asp?t=cms&c=firststeps) article.

Hi and welcome,
I know exactly how you feel, when I started having them I thought I was going insane (blamed it on my asthma) and thought that I was the only one in the world and no-one would understand how I feel. But coming on this site has shown me that there are soo many other people like us out there and people on here give you some great advice.
Take care
