post natal bleeding

I gave birth to my second child 8 1/2 weeks ago and apologies for the detail but I finished "bleeding" around 6 weeks after the birth. Then a week later I got my period which was normal in duration and loss. However 3-4 days after finishing my period I noticed a small amount brown discharge (only a dot appeared in my underwear) but when inserting a (clean) cotton bud internally I notice there is more within my vaginal. I'm quite concerned as to what this could be but I am up to date with my cervical smears and I'm not due again another until Aug 2011. Anyone got any advice as my obvious concern is cancer

Hi Honey, please stop worrying, this is just your body, and hormones getting back to normal following the birth,and congrats by the way. it is your 2nd child and your uterus is still a little "flabby" so what you are experiencing is normal.I had this following each birth, so just concentrate on your lovely new addition, and I am sure you will feel better soon
