Does anyone know if it is more common for hair loss to increase during the summer? May sound silly, but I know animals shed more hair at certain times of the year!

I'm asking because I'm noticing more hair on my hairbrush after brushing than normal & I seem to lose a more than usual when washing my hair. I'm scared that my hair is thinning. :weep: (I'm 33)

Hi Carly

Well, my hair is fine and is coming out a lot at the moment (my daughter says I'm moulting !) but her hair is doing exactly the same and she has a head of thick blonde hair.

Im fairly sure hair loss is higher during the summer than in the winter months but I haven't got a clue why..

Try not to worry :)

Thank you! I keep trying to come up with logical explanations for things & always feel like I'm just 'clutching at straws'. So for someone else to say they are noticing the same thing, makes me feel much better!
