:)Hi I'm new to this. I recently found out i have these ectopic beats. My doc saiz not to worry but its hard not to since my heart seems to be skipping beats more so than before. Its more obvious at night. Is it usual to have tightness in the chest? I also have athsma. I am quite anxious about it and am finding it difficult to sleep i have had it checked out by a cardiologist and my eco came back clear. I do find that drinking water helps though...

Hello Mariascat,
Welcome to NMP. Yes, I too suffer from ectopic beats. I find sometimes that they can disappear for a while, and then come back with a vengeance!! Infact I'm going through a particularly bad spell at the moment as we speak. Like you I had tests done which were normal, so this greatly reassured me. I now think that this is my body's way of letting me know that I'm stressed and I'm learning to live with them. I think you should not let them stop you doing anything and live your life as normal and then they tend to fade into the background. You are not alone, so please don't worry too much about them. They are just one of these nasty symptoms of anxiety:mad:You will get lots of support and reassurance here.:hugs:
