Hello,

I have done quite a bit of reading (good reading though) and see that people with anxiety find that sugar can really help with panic attacks, this doesnt make much sense to me but is it because the constant anxiety and panic causes us to burn lots of sugar so we need more?

Any opinions on that?

Hi uk23,

Strange you would write that cos that made me realise that when my sugar levels drop I can often feel shaky etc and that can bring on anxiety so I find having something with sugar in (banana or choc bar) really helps me at times...wierd but obviously true!! Perhaps the replacement of the sugar is what settles is down again...I know it does for me.
