Does anyone get aching on there chest on left side?? For last two weeks I have had tightness and ache not pain when breAthing.

Is this just muscular?

Hi there

If you are feeling anxious, you do not always breathe properly, you hold yourself in such a way that creates muscle tension and, yes, it sounds as if you are suffering from this.

Try and relax (yes, I know easier said than done!) and breathe evenly (say 5 breaths in and 5 out) for a few minutes and see if this relaxes the muscle. How about a nice warm bath with some relaxing bubbles in it - or even a hot water bottle - just to relax the tension in the muscles?

Don't worry it will pass - the more we focus on these aspects of anxiety the more they seem to be a problem.

If you are at all concerned, you should see your GP for confimation that it is indeed your anxiety causing you the problem and then you can address it using any strategies that work for you.
