Dear anyone that lives close to Buckingham, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury etc...

I am in the process of starting a local group to help with depression, stress, anxiety and panic attacks. There is nothing in the area that I can find, certainly in addressing the problems that we all face. There is little to no support when people are going through the difficult times and especially on their own. It is impossible to cope with.

After being asked by a few people in the area to set something up, I would like to find out if there are others that would like to be involved and help to help others as well as ourselves. I have got support for a number of locations, charities and local day care centres, or the library. Please let me know if you are interested and we can set a date and time for all to meet at the library.

kindest to all....

Hiya,

If I still lived in Buckinghamshire, I would be there like a shot! But unfortunately, I don't.

However, I did used to work for Buckinghamshire Mind who offer befriending, day services and activities (check out http://www.bucksmind.org.uk/), and have recently set up a user-led social group called 'Mind The Gap' (contact details can be found here: http://www.bucksmind.org.uk/directory/counselling/mind_the_gap.php).

They could also be a brilliant resource to help you get the word out there to people with mental health problems, that you are putting group together.
