Hi - I am so happy to find this forum. I suffer from HA and don't go to doctors unless I need to. Luckily I have been fairly healthy over the years. I suffer from bad panic attacks and my physciatrist wants me to have a full blood panel done to see if my thyroid could be causing these. He said since we are testing that lets just do a full panel??? I am 40 years old and never had this done. I am so afraid that all these tests are going to come back that I am dying of everything...Any positive feedback would be appreciated.

Blood tests can show up minor illnesses that may or may not have to be treated. If you were seriously ill then you'd have other symptoms other than panic attacks so please don't get yourself too worked up about this. There is a huge chance that they will all come back normal! Even if it is your thyroid then their are medications to help this. Try to remember that it's almost NEVER the worst case scenario that we imagine! :hugs:

Thanks for the words of encouragement Maj. I hate waiting for the results which he said would only take two days and he would call me right away. My worry is if my white/red blood cell count comes back with something wrong then I will have to get an appt with a regular doctor/specialist which means waiting, then have more tests which means more waiting...ARRRGGHH!! I always think the worst and drive myself nuts.

I am exactely the same as you I had a blood test last friday. I have Crohns Diease and the Connsultant always check my blood, she said she will only be in touch if there was a problem and now i dread the phone ringing or the post arriving so I do understand how you feel.

I got my test results back today. My cholestrol and sugar was a little high which I figured would happen. Two out of four of my liver tests were a few points high..no more than six. They told me not to worry but of course I am. I took quite a bit of excedrin and motrin in the last two weeks. Does anyone know if that would cause these levels to rise?
