What do you mean by you bled again without passing anything? Do you mean that blood was just coming out for no reason?

How much blood and is it bright red and fresh looking? I have had bleeding too and was supposed to have a flexible sigmoidoscopy last week but cancelled it at the last minute cos I wasn't feeling good. They thought I may have internal piles and this could also apply to you. I got the impression it is more of a concern if it is darker blood (from maroon to black). But any bleeding needs investigating and, for your own piece of mind, get it checked out. When it happened to me on one occasion I darted to the hospital as quick as possible and had an examination there and then and there was no concern so this may be all you need for reassurance. Let us know how you get on but chances are, you'll be fine x

It is most likely piles - I see this a lot on here and it is easily treated.

Do you not have an out of hours doc you can call in an emergency if you are really worried?

Ok so a fissure then.

I am sure it will be fine - I have had both piles and fissures and they do bleed a lot!

Well it's like a graze or cut, but inside you. It doesn't get a chance to heal all that easily because it's being irritated by your bowl movements regularly.

http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Rectal-Bleeding-Blood-in-Faeces.htm might help. Don't focus on the scary stuff. You're not haemmorhaging blood. It is a scary thing to happen but just think of it as like a cut on your hand, but you can't see it. http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Anal-Fissure.htm lists the ways you can ease the pain and help it heal. You can get suppositories or haemmorhoid cream which may help. It will heal, give it time.

We are not sick of hearing about it so please don't think that. I just wanted you to know that loads on here get it and it has always been fissures or piles.

I went to the loo once and I couldn't believe the amount of blood - I even got my partner to look at it cos I thought I was bleeding to death lol.

But it was just piles and they can bleed an awful lot I am afraid.

Get the doc to examine you so you can either get some cream or a suppository to sort it all out.

Are you constipated then?

Well piles did turn out to be something for me - I have Crohn's disease - which is why I urge you to get a doc to have a look as well.

No need to be sorry, we just want to get you well again and get a diagnosis on this bleeding so you can be reassured.
