New to diazepan - does anyone know anything about it?

I am worried about several things...

- Will my body get used to it and therefore will I have to keep putting the dose up?
- How easy is it to get addicted?

- I'm taking between 4mg and 6mg either once or twice a day when I need it which is about every other day at the moment. Is this a normal/low/high dose?

I take ativan (a benzodiazepine), .5mg in the morning and .25mg at noon. This drug can also be addicting, but I have tapered off of it once already without much trouble. I think if you follow your doctor's advice, you will be ago, and when the time comes, you can taper slowly off of it. I have been on Ativan for about 5 months, and I have not had to increase the dose.
