Is it normal to feel a bit uncomfortable/slightly painful when your cervix (I think) is touched - just like a strange feeling? I'm worried about cervical cancer - but I'm a virgin and nineteen and I don't know how likely it would .. I'm too embarrassed to ask anyone else for advice so thought I'd ask here!

Sweetheart, this is health anxiety, read the section on the left under "Health Worries" it may help.
You can only "touch" your cervix internally as it's inside your body, for example when a nurse does a smear test. You may be aware of the neck of your womb if you use tampons.
If you can be brave, why not ask your doctor? Make sure you go to a female one as they understand. If not, please rest assured.

Hey beautiful,

It's normal for it to feel strange, especially if you are already anxious anyway because anxiety increases our nervous system which overactivates our senses so we feel everything much more than we usually would. And because it isn't touched often it can also be very sensitive!

Like Hazel suggested, you can try having a chat with a nice female doctor, it's always helpful. No woman will ever judge you for asking such a question, it's something we all question from time to time :) Ah, the joys of womanhood!
