I have choose not to go on medication (other then a beta blocker) to control my anxiety.

I have given up all stimulates for the last few months. Finally, about three weeks ago I felt better almost normal.

I just went off of birth control on Friday, and last night it hit me again.. full force. I think it is anxiety anyway.. I just went into a complete panic. The worse part was all evening I felt like I wasn't in my own body. Then today I noticed my heart is racing, but I am trying to fight it and not let it bother me.

Thanks!

kellynwv...
I can totally understand how you feel...because when I get my panic attacks I get the same symptoms: I feel out of it, my body shakes, my heart races and my chest feels like it is going to close in.
I am really sorry to hear that you had your attack. I know how much they suck..and sometimes worrying about when they will end makes them worse.
But you are very brave to choose to go off your oher medication. I did that for 3 years, but my attacks came back in a really big way. For some, they can go away or come back once in a while.
But I understand how you feel, and hope you are doing better. Keep fighting!!! And Smiling!!!:D

Not sure how much the birthcontrol would be affecting you as you would usually have an off pill week anyway during the month.

Can you try some active relaxation to help bring heart rate back to normal
