i think the thing that worries me and i no this might sound abit dumb but hey its me is when i got the shakes 4 the first time last year the meal i had the night b4 was lamb.and last night for the first time since the anxiety started i had lamb then bam i feel like it today.i no deap down it was a panic attack today i just hate being like this..my symptoms this morning were

bad body shakes
dry mouth
feeling of being strangled
dizzy
couldnt walk..legs felt wobbly but also because i was shaking so much lol
felt spaced out

hi everyone.I need some advice regarding my mother.she is 67 years old and since oct of last year she has been very unwell with depp.she attempted sucide approx 2 months ago.she is on citrapram i think thats how u spell it,but it is causing extreme anxiety and panic.after much soulserching on her part she has confided in me that she thinks she is ugly.the psychiatric nurse involved has diagnosed body dismorphic disorder and set up some councelling for her.I must admit, the last 4 months have been terrible,I now feel absoloutley drained.I am a single parent my eldest has aspergers syndrome, and my mother, bless her, feels that i am the only one she can confide in.I have tried explaing to her that her issues need to by delt with by a proffesional, that its to close for me as her daughter to councel her.She gets upset and guilty about this and it just seems to be one vicious circle.I would like to know if anyone has any advice on the best way for me to deal with the situation.Thanx, kaley.

Hi Russ

When i am feeling really anxious that is just how i feel. It is horrible and along with that what you are thinking at the same time seems to overload and it is hard to cope with it. We are all here to help and we do understand.

Hi well I think my nikname says it all really. Yes I get shakes/trembles a lot. As soon as I notice it it gets worse because I am waiting for someone to look and make a comment to me about it.

I know it is the body releases a load of adrenalin and that is why I am shaking/trembling but it is another thing to try and relax to make it stop!!

Feeling dizzy, spaced out and dry mouth can relate to all of them too.

I think the key is the thought process here as my thoughts are overactive and race like mad. I am more aware of this when I have to sit still for a period of time and this usually sets me off for a panic attack.

It is very difficult to control this but positive thinking and thoughts when this is happening does help even though I am struggling with it myself!

Hope it gets better for you and take care!
