Schematherapy

Has anyone come across schematherapy and found it beneficial at all? :shrug:

I'm slowly getting to grips with all the terminology such as maladaptive behaviour, I guess I must have it at times!

I have recently discovered that my mum almost certainly has borderline personality disorder which has presumably affected me since childhood and now issues I didn't realise I had have bubbled over and are affecting my life, been on citalopram since June not understanding why I was feeling the way I was.

I have seen a clinical psychologist 3 times when she worked out the problem and decided this schematherapy was the way to go.

I'm completely daunted and overwhelmed about what it may bring out into the open with regards my feelings/behaviour etc, but if it helps can only be a good thing...
