Question for the girls?

Hiya.
I'm currently taking antibiotics and came on my period 3 days ago. The problem is it started of normal then became lighter a day later and keeps stopping then starting again. I had a look online (carefully) and many women find their period is late when on antibiotics but not sure if it's normal the way mine has been. I hate asking a question so private but I'm a little worried. I'm only 19 and iv'e always been irregular. Do you think I'm worrying over nothing again? Or could this be something serious?

It is not serious! It would only potentially be serious if you were bleeding outside of your period. Irregular periods are common and especially as you have always been irregular this would be nothing to worry about.

I've had a lot of AB's recently and they did not affect my period, check the leaflet that comes with the tablets, it should be listed if it's a side-effect though I've never heard of it.
You can also call the chemist in the morning, they will know.

By the way, you can have light and heavy "flow" days, it's normal and nowt to worry about.
