sometimes it gets so bad i literally am curled up on my sofa stretching every single part of my body even my jaw, i must look like a freak :(

is this anxiety or MND/MS????

Probably anxiety - maybe a way of getting rid of excess energy/adrenline?

A friend said its muscle tension, where im constantly tense, but how can it be when i dont even FEEL tense?? can u be tense all over and not even know it?? I know i get neck tension sometimes coz i get achey neck area...im really worrying ive got MS or sumthing :(

I get this like every muscle (though mainly in my legs) have gone all tight and stiff, its mainly at night and I can be stretching for hours. My GP says its restless leg syndrome and is nothing to worry about. Only thing I can say is it has no long term effects, its a pain in the backside but on the grand scale of things a minor irritation, just stretch it out and it will go away.

I know, full well, that my body is tense all the time, some parts of my body are more tense than others, this was proven to me on a number of accusations when getting a massage. I never told any of the masseuses, where I NEW the most tense of my body was, AND do you what, they told me.. :ohmy:. Although, I can have pain from time to time with some parts of my body, eg, my neck, should blades, Mmm, which can be very painfull at times, I know for me, I am tense most, if not all of the time. I have, according to the masseus, a blinking big Knot in my shoulder muscul :ohmy: this can kick off when carrying a bag across my shoulder or just kick off for what seems like NO reason, BUT, I know that if I can just learn how to relax more, de tenstion myself, so to speak, this would work wonders.

I do use relaxation cds, this works while listening to the cds, but I do feel, for me, when its over, my body just tenses up again. I am looking for other methods to try and relax my body, Mmm

Hun, when our body's are tense we can get an overwhelming feeling to stretch out. We do NOT have to feel pain or even notice we are tense.

I do get days when I notice I am stretching more.

Try using relaxation cds

put a streatching exersise into your daily routine.

I will notice that if I intentionally relax, I find just how much tension I really had. It can just be that we are tense all the time and don't realize it. And I think the aches and pains make us wonde,r when it is really long term of the tension.
