Hi everyone - I have been posting already, but thought it polite to add a little note about myself here!

I'm 33 and apparently I suffer with health anxiety. I don't tend to get panic attacks - I just worry constantly that there is something seriously wrong with me.

My main problem is acceptance - I really struggle to believe that anxiety can make me feel so physically ill. I take Mirtazapine, which seemed to help when I first started to take it about a year ago, but even on the highest dose, doesn't seem to be helping me now!

We that's me! I have so say, I am so glad I have discovered this site. I went to a group therapy session last year and it really really helps to see real people suffering the same symptoms. Nearly everyone there seemed to have bad heartburn like me - so it helps my not-so-logical brain to think that maybe this is anxiety and nothing more serious!

Hello

Glad to see you acknowledge what your issues are. Its true, acceptance of the symptoms is the next step.

Glad you had a group session last year. Could you ask for further help which may build on what you have already learnt.
