So pains and weakness have been getting worse, I have made quite a few posts over the last couple of months with all sensations. I went to the doctor again today after my right leg went floppy, hurt a lot and felt freezing. He examined it and said the reflexes are ok but said he wasnt convinced it is anxiety. He wants me to see a neurologist.

Does anyone else here get dead legs or arms etc with pain and feeling like they are chilled (the limb)?

I have also had a Spine X-Ray as they really arent sure what the issue is. He said my circulation seemed fine.

Worried, anxious and scared.

Its often caused by the neck vertabrae ,I have osteoarthritis of the spine and I get this very severly at times .I also have carpal tunnel syndrome which also causes pain and tingling in the arm and hand .If I hold the telephone for too long my hand goes completely numb and I wake up with dead hands every morning . could be spine trouble which won't show up on an x ray that only shows broken bones - you might be referred for an mri of spine by neuro. Like previous poster I have herniated discs all down spine and arthritis in neck and get every symptom you can think of and then some - pins and needles - numbness in night in hands - crawling- shooting pains - tender spots- numb toes etc etc.

I often get a numb area on my right leg that feels cold. It's really odd. I also get tingling and numbness in my arms sometimes. I think it's just a trapped nerve or something; my doctor wasn't concerned.

It's a good thing you're getting tests just in case but the chances are it's harmless. It's hard not to worry though, I know!x

I get this on my left leg, at the front above my knee! it is cold when the rest of my body is warm and it often feels 'dead' or numb with some weakness. It is worse when I am laying or sitting. I occassionally feel some pain but this is not often. I also get this in my upper left arm too but no where near as often. I havent mentioned this to my GP, perhaps I should x

Hi
I get a lot of joint problems and tense muscles caused by anxiety, ,mainly neck, back and legs. However, maybe what you have is not related to anxiety and only a doctor/consultant/neurologist will be able to tell you what is going on. A lot of people have problems to do with joints and a lot can be done for them too these days.

I get this quite often - especially when I'm stressed - but I have fibromyalgia (a pain syndrome).

Glad you have been referred to a specialist who will hopefully get to the bottom of it.

Hi, dont worry ive had all your symptoms. I am currently seeing a neurologist and have been for 18mths. I have a bulging lower disc with sciatica. This started with terrible leg pains, numbness and strangely my feet were freezing, so much so i had to use a hot water bottle to try to warm them up. Im absoloutely fine now, still get the odd pain and twinges but nothing i cant cope with. I know its worrying I was the same when it first started but the neurologist will probably send you for an mri scan to see if there is a problem with your disc. Dont know if it will help but when mine flares up I use an ice pack out of the freezer on the lower part of my spine and that helps because it reduces the swelling:hugs:
