and black stools

Are these actually black as in BLACK? I was slightly constipated and half was light the rest really dark, not black but really dark, as disgusting as it is I examined it and when dissected it became a more normal orangey brown, sorry, help.

Yes that colour is fine. Mine go the colours of the rainbow at times lol.

Ahh, I've just looked on the internet at black stools, they're tarry and they don't look anything like mine did and are actually BLACK, feel slightly reassured.

black stools arent usually black, they are just really dark brown. if youve been constipated, its usually due to the lack of water in your stools drying it out somewhat, hence the normal colouring inside. You can also have really dark stools when you take vitamins or eat food with a lot of protein or iron... like steak or spinach x
