Anyone else get red intchy patches?

I just realised I was scratching my arm, looked at it and it was red, not prickly looking but more just red - is this normal?

If I look at it there seem to be large 'holes', i guess these are the pores? worried :(

I get red patches and heat lump things for no reason, they're really itchy.
