Best place to buy 5HTP online?

I wondered whether anyone could recommend the best place to buy 5htp online? I have kicked the SSRI's as I have found them making me feel worse rather than better, and want to go down the natural route?

I need a decent supply for a decent price?

got mine from here... good delivery etc.

not sure on how good they were as didn't fully commit to be honest. used to get a bit of a hangover effect sometimes. there is a link to excellent reviews on one of my other posts.

PoppyC- I wanted 100mg, thought I may as well get a decent dosage, have had it with SSRI's they give me really bad anxiety and derealization, not what I want!!

How long did you take your medication for?
Holland and Barrett have a half price promotion on 5HTP but it is only for the 50mg dosage.Maybe you could take 2 though?

I am sure I read or heard somewhere that you should not really mix 5HTP with anti anxiety/anti depressants. I may be wrong though.
There are some posts on the site about them.

I have been on Citalopram for around 5 months, then I switched to Sertaline and packed that in after a day, it made me feel absolutely awful. I just didn't want to be on any prescription stuff anymore, I have heard good things about 5htp, so want to give it a go.

I already ordered some from that Healthspan site, but thank you very much for the offer, I'm not sure I can afford to but two lots right now!

I will try to keep updating on how well they work, so people can see if they might want to give them a go.

Oh an one more question!!! :) sorry guys!! But I know this has been covered multiple times but, is it okay to take 5htp and St John's Wort together? I found a product called Celexil

very impressive reviews on here. let us know how you get on. i tried them but didn't really take them for long enough.

That looks good, I had searched to try and find it but hadn't managed it, but that site looks decent, I might give this a try also.
I'm not a hundred precent up on the science but the reviews look pretty positive as well.
Anyone actually tried it at all? I might volunteer to be guinea pig.!!

I have started on the 5htp, 100mg every day, so far with Inositol. I'm not sure as of yet what is happening, I have a cold so its hard to tell, but I feel that it is working, I was very down and dark before and it seems my mood has lifted a bit.

I take 5htp and use either nutri centre or citoplan on lie they post it to you.

Hope the 5htp is working out for you. Everyone I have known personally (about 5 people) had bad experiences on citalopram! Guess that's why there are so many different types though, just not fun finding out which one works! You asked earlier if its safe to take valium with - yes fairly certain it is, might just add to the sedative effect.

I want to start on 5htp and exercise soon. On seroquel, stops me from feeling toooo depressed but feels like it dulls a lot of characters in my personality when I'm not on a downer

Might be bumping an old thread here but useful to know that 5HTP can also be bought online in patch form (i.e. like a nicotine patch). I have been using the patches now for a couple of months and def think better than capsules in terms in terms of effect. Might be less convenient but good if you don't like tablets/capsules generally.
