hey guys,
its been a while since i have last posted, but i just have to talk about something that has been bothering me lately. as of now, i belive that i have GAD although i have not seen anyone about it. this is mostly because my parents persist to think that this is just a "phase" and will pass in time. i want to belive them, but i cant bring myself to think that the stuff that i have been going through the last few is just a phase.
why i am posting is because of my fear of becoming scitsophrenic at some point in the near future. unlike most of the people on this site who are scared of becomeing scitsophrenic, i actuly fall in the age range for when it usaly develops in men.
i have read many posts on this site regurding scitsophrenia and most of them seem to lead people to belive that just because they are aware of their anxiety makes them somehow imune to the disorder. an example of this is "you know whats happenig to you so you cant be going crazy."
i have researched scitsophrenia more fully and found that this is simply not true. i have read posts from actual scitsophrenics saying that there where tell-tale signs that they were developing the disorder but they just dident realize it at the time.
after reading things like this i just feel like i should buy a stright jacket and just check myself in.
sorry for this being so long.
Brad.
