Hi!I have just found this forum today as i have got to a state of despair with my panick attacks! It all began back in december and has gone down hill from there.I really dont no how it all began but its the worst thing thats ever happened,i have lost total control and have been put on a drug called citalopram which i have been taking for a week and have totally heightened anxiety at the moment! Is there really any light at the end of this dark tunnel?

How do you know when you're cured? (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5673)

You need to give the Citalopram a few weeks to take effect so bear with it.

Have you seen a doctor and being checked out for anything physical.

Hope we can be of some help to you on here.

Hello Bong,

Welcome to the site

It is entirely normal to have heightened anxiety when you first start on an SSRI. Do read our medication home page and the posts under medication.

Hi and welcome

I totally appreciate how you feel it comes from no where and we are supposed to judge it and control how we feel, but we cant. I am on the same medication as you and after my first try i failed the second one on them made me get a grip and realise i couldnt let this beat me. Here to talk and give it time as the first few weeks are the hardest and i know exactly how you feel.

Pleased you have had a good day, like me it seems the nights fill you with anxiety. I was worried and that led to me feeling worse because at night it wouldnt seem normal to go out for a walk, you couldnt just pick up the phone and call a friend. Its pressure but at the time we dont see it as that. Here if you want to talk and thinking about you.
