Hiya,
I know that i shouldn't worry but i do. Last night i rang a doctor as i have started suffering with missed beats and irregular beats. My partner had a listen and heard it too but the doctor just said i am probably anxious, which i am. He said to go back if they continue and i am worried but hey, i am still here!.
Is this a normal part of anxiety?. I tend to get them at night which is when i panic, i am also getting them when i am out like in the supermarket and shops. I am doing psychotherapy which is stressful too. I am supposed to be going away tomorrow for a few days which i feel anxious about as i will be on my own, something i haven't done before but i know that the course will help me progress with my career and i really wanna do it.
I also get headaches with it and tiredness. The doc has told me to relax which is so hard when you have a 8 month old baby.

Reading for sufferers of Panic Attacks, Anxiety, Phobias and OCD. (http://www.nomorepanic.co.uk/NMPcms.php?nmppage=reading)

adeje, if you take a look at ashleys posts and many more you will see how common these are. they are very distressful but totally harmless . doctors words, not mine

have you ever read claire eekes book s on the symptoms of anxiety. they are called self help for your nerves and essential help for your nerves.

i find the books are unbelieveable and feel everyone with anxiety should know these books. you can order them from the site above. self help for your nerves is the first book i think and many see it as their bible when it comes to anxiety

hope this helps as will many of the previous posts on missed beats and palpitations

welcome

oi oi oi, did i hear my name being mentioned lol.
Yes adeji-i have had missed hearbeats, pauses inbetween my beats, eptopic beats, ive had every kind of wierd kind beat possible...they are so so nasty and cruel ... and frightening.. with it also i get chest pain, breathlessness and all sorts of weird and not wonderful pains in my heart area, seriously i could tell you some storys when it comes to what you are feeling right now, baby its anxiety trust me... you would be surprised at what the body can feel when you are under stress, and worried about things, please have a look at my preivous posts i have sent on here...and when you see any furture postings i put as it will mostly be to do with my heart.

It may be hard to belive darlin but missed heartbeats in an anxouis person is considered normal.
If you are concerned, make a appointment at the doctors and have a little check up to put ya mind at rest, but i asure you that it will be anxiety---it does scare you darlin dosnt it, especially if you havnt had it before--- and of course it must be hard to relax , especially with a eight month baby.
Try not to think on this too much(thats hard though) otherwise the anxiety will grow and you will start to get other symptoms, which again are totally harmless but very distressing--every time you get missed heartbeats yeah or it seems irregular-- think oh shut up will you .. you dont bother me--- and go and do somethink different,,,,mmmm very hard to do and takes a lot of practice-especially when you are feeling awful but eventually the anxiety will relise you are no longer scared and crawl up in the corner and die.

Headaches and tiredness are part of the parcel my love.

I make it sound as if it is the most easy thing to do IT ISNT

You will be o.k alright , try not to scare yourself too much alright.

In the mean while come and have a chat with us and we will help you the best we can, ok sweetheart.

Oh by the way your name adeji is from a yoruba tribe isnt it ???

These are a normal part of anxiety but we do recommend that you visit a doctor officially and have a physical and a few basic tests run like an ECG and basic bloods done just to exclude any other issues that can arise once in a while.
