its really mild.. but now i am worrying about advanced throat cancer :(

what sort of ear pain occurs in advanced cancer?

No idea about the cancer thing, but have you tried putting a bit of cotton wool or toilet tissue in your ear? That usually helps my ear aches.

As far as I know, throat cancer tends to present itself with loss of voice or persistent hoarseness, rather than pain.
