My doctor prescribed 10mg of these for me to take because i have been getting pain and isn't this a muscle relaxant?

I will have to take them alongside my Cipralex.

At 10mg, Amit will do several things: it will relax you more, as it's sedating; it will slow down your bowel movements if you have diarrhoea; and it should help with muscular pains. So it sounds like a good med for you. 10mg is a tiny tiny dose, so you shouldn't have any problems with side effects.

Thanks Dahlia, It's only for a month to see if it helps until i see the 2 specialists that i need to see, I'm worried about nausea and tiredness from it although i would probably take it before bed.

Would i get withdrawal symptoms from it once i have completed 4 weeks on it?

These are antidepressants ,but they are a different type .They are often perscribed for pain in a low dose and are very effective .Being on them a month would give you s/e s when you stop but not too bad .Ihope they help you .They should help with sleep and work stright away for pain .Side effects normally are headaches and tiredness but not too bad in a low dose .It will get better once they are in your system like all antidepressants .T/c SUE

Well I didn't find I was particularly sleepy at 10mg. And I don't know anyone who had nausea as a side effect, apart from me (and I get nausea pretty much throughout the day anyway, so it may well have not been the Amit). In fact, I posted on two boards and no one had experienced nausea! It really is a tiny dose, so you probably won't get any symptoms.

Most people seem to come off 10mg very easily, with no withdrawal.

My ex had fibromyalgia, and he was given it at 10mg, and it helped him a lot.

I never did try these my GP said I only had to take them if I wanted to and there was no pressure I guess I didn't like the thought of being even more tired and zombie like and didn't like the idea of being on 2 antidepressants.
